My name is Michael McCluskey, i see myself as a very creative individual mainly looking at art and graphic design. However the last two years ive been studying at Great Yarmouth College and ive had the opportunity to study far me than this. Aswell as graphic design and drawing i have studied print making, photography, fashion, mixed media and film making. Doing this had enabled me to develop skills i never thought i had.
Here are 12 images i have selected from around 30 from my portfolio. As you can tell most of my drawings are line drawings (or as many of my tutors say, "very graphical"). I enjoy doing line drawings as i think they are very detailed and in my opinion colour and tone ruin them. However i did add a tonal drawing in the images i submitted just to show i can do tonal drawings too. I can work with many types of media such as pencil, pen, watercolours, ink and charcoal. If i get invited to an interview i would be very excited in showing more of my work in my portfolio which are variations of my logo designs, Poster designs and edited versions of my drawings too. I am very much looking forward to doing this course as it offers the opportunity of work placements, working in a studio with others with the same ambitions as me aswell as developing both my technical and conceptual skills. Not really much more i can ask from a course. I hope you like my work and am willing to listen to any feedback. Looking forward to hearing from you.
